My take on Huskers

December 6th, 2010

I typically stay away from writing about the Huskers because lets face it… everyone talks about the Huskers.

In my biased opinion, I really enjoy reading the Husker Blog. Monte Kratzenstein does an excellent job of writing about these student athletes and stating the facts of the game. All those off the field issues and drama rumors are clearly left off Monte’s posts. He enjoys writing about football and only football. Read the rest of this entry »

Kickball experiences

October 5th, 2010

I apologize for the delayed post. This should have been up a while ago. I guess I was still recovering from the kickball tournament I competed in this last weekend.

Some of my fellow Hubbers and I played in the Jim Elder Memorial Kickball Tournament on the UNK campus. I felt we learned many things from this game that we had all played in our childhoods. Read the rest of this entry »

Top 5 Worst Sporting-Event Songs

September 29th, 2010

Popular sporting events typically have one element associated with it no matter the sport.

Music is always an integral part in any sports stadium. Whether the music is blaring over a huge sound system or the local marching band is playing their school fight song, music is always there.

Unfortunately, some songs will forever be on the playlist at stadiums. Here is my list of the five worst stadium songs I am tired of hearing. If there are any songs that need to be added to the list shoot me a comment or tweet (@HubSports_CSF) Read the rest of this entry »
